In 2020, the world was thrown into unprecedented times with a pandemic that impacted millions across the globe. As cities shut down and people adjusted to lockdown measures, the demand for personal protective equipment (PPE) skyrocketed.
ClearMask was proud to respond to the call for more PPE by increasing manufacturing efforts to deliver millions of masks to doctors, nurses, teachers, first responders, essential employees, and so many others.
During this time, we received countless requests from organizations in need asking for donations of the ClearMask™ Transparent Face Masks. With the ultimate goal to increase accessibility for many, we quickly set to work to establish a donation program, Make an Impact: The ClearMask™ Project to help others.
As soon as the program took off, word quickly spread through social media and networks about the ClearMask™ brand and its innovative concept.
Since launching the program in November 2020, we’ve donated more than 71,000 masks to organizations of different sizes and backgrounds, including schools, houses of worship, senior care centers, family and disability support services, behavioral health programs, summer camps, charities, and even a high school robotics team!

CORE
“CORE is a crisis relief nonprofit dedicated to saving lives and strengthening communities affected by or vulnerable to crisis. Pittsburgh Behavioral Health Services
“Pittsburgh Behavioral Services provides educational and behavioral services for individuals with autism, intellectual/developmental disabilities, and other learning or behavioral needs. We serve directly in the Pittsburgh area in Pennsylvania through one to one clinical settings, group settings, home settings, and school based services, as well as collaborate and consult with families and professionals around the world. ClearMask’s generous gift was more crucial than ever during these uncertain and challenging times, and has enabled our employees to adapt and continue their work in providing the highest quality services possible to the most vulnerable populations while staying protected to the greatest extent possible. Being able to see the instructor’s face is an essential part of treatment for many of our clients. Thanks to the ClearMask, this population was able to respond better to treatment due to seeing their instructors’ face and mouth while accessing safe and highly effective services. Humanim
“Humanim is committed to supporting and economically empowering individuals with disabilities and socio-economic challenges, serving over 4,000 individuals annually throughout Maryland and Delaware. ClearMask’s bulk donation is supporting all of our programs, including our deaf services, human services, workforce development programs and social enterprises. Transparent masks are essential to communicating with our staff and consumers who are deaf or hard of hearing during this pandemic. Many of our Developmental Disability and Behavioral Health services clients also have difficulty expressing their emotions. The ClearMask™ Transparent Face Masks help our program participants and staff show their facial expressions so they are able to build rapport. Lastly, Humanim’s culinary social enterprise, City Seeds, utilizes the ClearMask™ when they are making food/catering deliveries in the community – it helps them better communicate with the public.
